Printing frustraions on Mac OS X

I am using 4.5 RC1 and I find that when I print source listing that I can print three or four and then a "Printing..." dialog appears and stops all progress.

At this point I must do a "Force Quit" on IDEA.

Do others have this problem on OS X? Is there something wrong with my operating system settings or is this a problem with IDEA?

Known OSX problem of impossibility to render AWT queue events due to AppKit thread busy printing. In other words it does
not hang, it just unable to display progress while printing.

Thank you for the explanation about the AWT event problem.

Your answer seems to indicate that printing should happen, even with the dialog hanging. However, no matter how long I wait, the printing never occurs and I cannot get any response from IDEA.

The result for me is that I cannot print from IDEA. I have to run Virtual PC, TextPadPro, and print from there with FinePrint. It's not a great solution, but I can do bulk printing.

If the dialog is the block to printing, would it be possible to just not display that dialog when running on OS X?

What IDEA build you're using?
