middle mouse (ctrl-b) doesn't work

My colleague is using IDEA 4.0.3 (from the .com download and has repeated problems where ctrl-b doesn't navigate to source but to class files.

IDEA gets into some kind of state where all navigation is lost. He usually ends up blowing away caches and possible his settings directory to get things back.

I'm using pallada and don't have the problem, but he doesn't want to upgrade.

I searched the ITN but didn't find anything, but I can't believe someone else hasn't filed a report.

Has anyone seen something like this? Or should I file a report.

Thanks,
Mike

More info. It is something in config, not system caches. If the config/options directory is blown away, then suddenly it starts to work again.

Okay. Even more information. It only happens in the debugger, not the editor as I had originally thought (my colleague is holding out information on me).

If he sets a breakpoint in code, and then runs, it will break at that point in the class file. If he goes up or down the thread stack, class files will be displayed (not source code).

I'm pretty sure there was a bug reported about that. Can't remember if there
is fix or workaround though. Try searching the forums and tracker.
