Possible to change the background color of tool windows?

Hello Valsharess,

The background color of toolwindows is determined by the look & feel you
are using. Unfortunately most look & feels do not support any customization
of background colors.

Dark themes are easy on the eyes for programmers but it's not much use
if the background of the tool windows remain white.

I've been looking for a while how to change them without result. I
know I can set it to gray choosing the CDE theme, but other than that
I suspect I can't customize it. So, is it possible?
