Where did you hide the setting for PHP wrapping?

Thanks for reading and sorry for the title, I'm just a little frustrated. I've searched above and beyond but I couldn't find anything anywhere on the web about getting PHP code to wrap in PHPstorm. There is a setting for HTML and XML in the settings under "Code Style" - where is the setting for PHP?

And while we're at it, I'll surely be looking for the same thing for Javascript code as well. But I assume that it's all in one place, only that I really couldn't find it in the last hour.

Thanks in advance.

Currently there is no separate language settings for wrapping, spaces
and some other formatting settings. But it is possible to preview
current settings applied to specified languages just by choosing
corresponding right tab when choosing e.g. Wrapping node in code style
settings.

Maxim, thanks for your reply. I'm not sure if I really understand what you're saying though - maybe I failed to make myself clear enough.

I'm not necessarily looking to set the wrapping mode for each language separately, I'd be happy to find the setting for global wrapping in the first place. It's fine that there is no individual setting per language yet. I'm looking to set wrapping to ON globally.

Sorry for the confusion.

Hi bobsoap!

You didn't specify the version of IntelliJ you are using. So I will give you information on how I do it myself in both IntelliJ ver 7 and ver 9.

IntelliJ 7:
-------------
Press Ctrl-Alt-S, or click on the small tool icon in the upper toolbar, to pop open the "Settings" window. Type "wrap" or "wrapping" in the search field in the upper-right corner of the Settings window. You will notice that 4 places are highlighted by ovals — click on the one that says "Global Code Style". You will be transfered to the "XML" tab, where you can change text wrap settings. It can seem confusing but the global code wrap (someone, correct me if I am indeed wrong that it is where "global" wrap settings are) is located here, under XML tab! (I don't know why)

IntelliJ 9:
-------------
Press Ctrl-Alt-S, or click on the small tool icon in the upper toolbar, to pop open the "Settings" window. This one looks quite different from IntelliJ7. Basically type "wrap", and the right hand side of the window will instantly be transfered to text wrap settings for all kinds of things. Use check-boxes to select what you'd like to wrap... or not. I believe these are the global settings for everything.

I hope this is what you are looking for.

Greg
