Ah I knew it, they had to pay you in some form :)

MetricsReloaded for 4.2?

Vince.

Uh? I see, IG will be included in IDEA 4.1! The interesting question is: did they pay him in some form? ;)

Hobbies are the coolest thing on the planet when they start paying off.

Nice work.

Very cool. We're using IG as part of our official code review process - and it's literally changing the way we write code by bringing to our attention things we just didn't think about before.

Now if they just let us point to an external URI for the config info so we can share settings.....

Congratulations Dave, it's great to see that your efforts have been recognised officially. I mean it was always clear how highly both the Community and JetBrains rated your plugin, but this kinda puts the icing on the cake. Great work and thanks again for creating what is in my opinion one of the most useful plugins ever created for any pluggable IDE.

And best of all: IG is an IDEA exclusive. I've never seen something close to IG for the competitors. Now the JetBrainers can use this as marketing: "IntelliJ IDEA: The only one powered by Griffith Juice!"

Sorry for being dumb, but where can I find official message about including
IG in Idea 4.1?

I am going to launch the Overview 4.0 soon -- I already have it (IG) mentioned in the plugins/community pages -- seems I'll have to amend my Overview after 4.1 comes out -- congrats.

For a little while it could be found here:
http://www.intellij.net/eap/products/idea/pallada.jsp
But apparently some items on the list were not officially decided yet,
so the page has been temporarily removed, according to Sergey Dmitriev.

Yes, our team of developers would also like to be able to share IG settings
so that we all work with the same expectations.

Also it would be nice if the 'static' code inspection configuration could be
integrated with IG. What I mean is that when you do "Inspect code ..." it
would be nice to be able to do the same inspection as that specified for IG
rather than having to configure each separately.

Also, would be nice to have multiple IG configurations available. For
example when I am writing fresh code, I want to crank up the inspection
level so the resultant code is very clean. However, if I use the same
inspections on legacy code, there is so much yellow/red in the gutter that
it becomes meaningless. So for legacy code, I would like to be able to save
a set of minimal inspections, e.g. local variable shadows member variable,
etc.

There are already Tracker requests for all of these, which I too dearly hope will make Pallada.

Dave, I wasn't able to find this in the Tracker (not the most intuitve
tool).

If you could point me to the items, I'd be happy to vote for them.

Thanks,

Ted Hill
