OS X - System Menu?

Is there anyway to get Idea to display the menu in the proper place, the
system menu? I know it's possible in Swing, but even Aurora still places
the menu at the application-level.

Interesting comment.

I have been trying to use IDEA on OS X with a secondary monitor. I run on a 17" laptop and my secondary monitor has higher resolution.

When I move IDEA to the secondary monitor I would like to have the menu drop down from the window frame (as it tries to do now).

There appears to be a bug and the menu only partially displays from the system menu.

This makes IDEA unusable in the secondary monitor.

Add this to your vm options -Dapple.laf.useScreenMenuBar=true

That'll put it in the right place, but be warned that it'll look odd and you'll get various unpleasant side effects (like the odd crash or two). At least that's what happened the last time I tried it.

Does screen menu bar work again in current builds? There were some
issues with disfunctional keyboard shortcuts lately.

This does seem to work on 1141.

While this puts the menu in the "macintosh appropriate" location, I would prefer to have it on the IDE's window as I now have to move the mouse all the way over to the second screen.
