Hello Maarten,

Every time I (try to) quit the new beta (90.162) build, I get a dialog
saying:

Please wait ofr safe shutdown of periodical tasks... Application
pooled thread controlled alarm

This is running on Java 1.6 under Ubunty 9.04.

Is anybody else seeing something like this?

Thanks, the fix in that issue (turn off 'Check "changed on server" conflicts in the background') worked for me.

I've marked the issue I just raised (IDEA-25768) as a duplicate of that one.
I did put in some of the application shutdown log on my issue, in case that helps you track down the root cause.
