Custom container and UI Designer

Hello,

we are using our own set of widgets, most of them simply extends Swing widgets. And here comes two questions:
- can I use custom container (it extends JPanel) with "Surround With" feature, if yes - how can I add it to the list ?
- when I create new form, the root container is JPanel, can I somehow force UI Designer to use our custom container as root container ?

Sorry if these questions was alread asked, but I can find the answers :/

Hello Zbyszko,

The current version of the UI Designer doesn't have support for these scenarios.
You can play with its source code (released as part of IDEA Community Edition)
and contribute patches that would solve these problems.

Hello Dmitry,

thanks for the answer. I will take your proposition into consideration, but temporary I will try to bypass the problem :-)
