output of Grails tests using maven plugin

Hi,

I'm developing Grails applications using IntelliJ. I'm new to IntelliJ and these forums.

I am using the grails mvn plugin to run my unit and integration tests. One annoying aspect of this is that I don't know how to view the output of these tests inside IntelliJ. After I run the tests, I end up having to open up the junit html output in my web browser.

Is there an easy way to view either the html or xml output from the grails tests inside InitelliJ. I just want to click stack dump of tests failures instead of having to read and take note of line numbers inside my web browser and then move back into my IDE and find the class and line number by hand.

Let me know how you are dealing with viewing the grails tests' results.

thanks

There's no way to do it with Grails Maven plugin unless it redirects the
test output into its own output. IntelliJ IDEA has Grails Tests run
configuration which runs the tests using the standard 'grails test-app'
way. IDEA 9 will show test output in a user-friendly way with Grails
1.2, you may use the next preview versions of both to take advantage of
this.

Thanks. I reposted the question in a slightly different way just a bit ago and just now noticed your answer.

Is there no way to tell IntelliJ to read the junit test reports directory thats generated from my build?
How do I find out how to direct the output?

The only one I see is to create your own IntelliJ IDEA plugin.

It doesn't depend on you, it depends on Grails & maven plugin. We don't
support this plugin very much, so I'd rely on our 'Grails' run
configuration for test running.
