Next EAP cycle - name suggestions ?

IDEA v4.0 seems to be closing on us so I was thinking about the name for the next EAP cycle. How about "Avalon" ? It also starts with "A", although not taken from the Greek methology but a name of the island somewhere. Seems cute to me ..

There are a lot of good names from the norse mythology, which I prefer a lot:

Yggdrasil - The tree on which the worlds reside (including the earth).

Valhalla - The "heaven" where you go when you die, although that might not be appropriate as a project name. :)

Asgård - The name of the world where the gods live

Bifrost - The norse name for the rainbow. It was thought to be a bridge between Asgård and the earth.

Idun - A god who represents spring and yuth.

Based on the intentions that the name should begin with A, symbolize EAP, progress and pathfinding movement
Suggest

Avant (as in avant-garde)

or derivatives

Avanti
Avanta
Avante

I like the name very much because (pallas) athena/athene
is the goddess of art, science and craft...any resemblance
to programming is pure coincidence :-).
Her favorite pet is the owl representing wisdom, strive
for insight and a long life.

Besides that, athena is the goddess of the clean
warfare (diplomacy & strategy), so she is well-armed
against rivals.

I must say, Athena sounds really "just right" to me.

Jeepers what a large thread this is!

Avalon is unfortunately the name of an Apache Java project:

D'oh :)

How about AlphaOmega since it is already the Alpha & Omega of IDE's.

How about "Aria"?

Don't know of any Greek mythology ties, but is short
and represents to me the harmony that I see in IDEA.

What about AIDA ?

It's not only an opera title. Hear: something about "aid" sounds in it!

Or "Omega Alpha" like the CD from Project Pitchfork :)
