thanks for 1104

1104 is up and running and I do not have to disable
any of my n/w stuff. Also debugger errors I have seen
in 1094 don't seem to be happening anymore.

Funny, in my case it's the other way around: 1101 was starting fine (but the editor threw lots of exceptions), but I can't manage to start 1104 (see tracker entry 26751 at http://www.intellij.net/tracker/idea/viewSCR?publicId=26751 ).

I found out the problem was a corrupt installer file (see http://www.intellij.net/forums/thread.jsp?forum=13&thread=67841&message=774901#774901 ). Now everything is good again.
