JavaBean from MySQL table?

Hi guys/girls, Ingo here.

I downloaded the trial for IntelliJ 8.1.3 and I'm loving it so far. Thanks developers!
But I have one question, which might be dumb, but is there a way to create a JavaBean from a MySQL table through a correctly setup data source?

Regards,
Ingo

I don't know that exactly understanding what you want to do. For creating JavaBeans from MySQL datasource you need persistent layer to do this. For example Hibernate (hibernate.org - for more).

If you want to do this in IntelliJ IDEA, you need configure your datasource (Tools -> Data Sources). Next start new module , when you get window to choose technologies, check Hibernate and next : both options check too. IntelliJ generate JavaBeans for every table in that database.

If You do first steps with IntelliJ IDEA i suggest you to watch some demos from this link http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/training/demos.html

Hi Mariusz,

What I was looking for is a way to generate a simple JavaBean out of a MySQL database, without Hibernate in this case, but thanks for the tips and the demos URL, I'll definitely check it out.

Ingo
