IDEA and VSS

I am using Visual SourceSafe as VCS
And there is wrong behaviour (correct me if i wrong) of IDEA.

I make checkout file and editing it. Then i try to checkin. If i checkining with standart VSS client then IDEA shows that this file modified (name of file clolored with green), but if i checking with idea (contex menu->source safe ->checkin) then everithing all right (header is black).

Seems that IDEA and MS client process blank space in different ways.

Yes, it's a known problem. MS client does not allow to obtain such
notifications (checking in file). But why do you need to check in files via
MS client?

Cause there is no 'Search by Status' feature.

While developing application i usually check out many files at one time (for example while 'Rename Class' refactoring) and i want to checkin all thouse files.

I can do it only with VSS Client.

PS
Thank for this great product. IDEA THE BEST ??????????.

I feel your pain. The VSS support is a little lacking. Ever check out a
bunch of files and take the time to fill in the comment? When it is time to
check them in, it does not remember the comment that the file was checked
out with. You can set IDEA to remember the last comment you entered when
you checked out (not necessarily this file). Close, but no cigar.

I have been biting my tongue, because we have been talking about moving to
CVS.

You can do a Checkin Project (ctrl-k) and it will allow you to do just that.

I think I tried that .... once.... I used Ctrl-K. It checked in the
single file that I had checked out AND immediately closed IntelliJ. Plus, I
like to visit each file one by one to make sure that debug has been removed,
etc.

Maybe I will play with this a little more.

Thx for the info.
