velocity question

I'm using velocity templates in IDEA and have two quesitons.

First, is there any documentation on how to use the velocity integration?  I can't find any.

Second, velocity seems to think my XML file is HTML so I get warnings on every line about "unknown html tag".  How do I get rid of this?

There is no search, so it's impossible to find.

Ctrl+F in contents tree, 'Velocity'. You'll see 'FreeMarker and
Velocity' section under 'Java EE and Web Development' under 'Concepts'

this does work in Safari.  However the search in Firefox doesn't work FYI (I was using Firefox when I first tried this)
