More seriously , it looks like the "bug night" idea didn't catch on. It would have been fun for us. I guess it would also have been too much hassle for JetBrains to organize it, and benefit from it. I can understand that. Too bad, it would have been fun. In a nerdy way.
After the last major GUI bloopers and annoyences, I believe it will not be a happy party at my side - rather a remembering the good old times, where IDEA was moving forward. BTW, my idea for a new IDEA logo: "<<<" (aka "Developing with annoyances").
In fact, as far as I remember, my biggest party was in 1999.

Yep, it would have been fun. But JetBrainers would have had to stay awake 24 hours long because of the timezone differences. It's certainly not that easy to organize. Especially because everybody has (should) a life outside the IntelliJ Sphere...

It's improving, it's improving... The module's dialog is already better than a few weeks earlier !

To me, the magic has already happened : imagine your - coding - life without IDEA. One day people will complain because the voice activated 3-D scrolling doesn't stop on the character they are thinking about, or place the caret before the character, rather than after. Sigh-Sigh-

I almost make nightmares abt that, because in my next job, I might be forced to use emacs !!!!!! I hope they'll buy me an IDEA licence !!!

The future is voice activation ?? I thought it would read directly inside my brain What a pity :(

Terrible. IDEA even is a huge factor when it comes to decissions about which language to use. I hope that the Eclipse C/C++ plugin doesn't catch up with the Java part. That would be a good reason for me to switch (one IDE for both languages). Right now, I can still justify that IDEA is so much better that I don't really want to bother with C++.
My tracker doesn't show any bugs fixed in build 1000 but plenty for 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004. Confess -- you're hiding it somewhere in your closet for christmas!
Let's party like it's 1999.
