exception breakpoint and dependency?

My code generates a SQLException.  I tried to debug this by setting an exception break point.   However, this breaks at many other places that are not in my own code, such as places in jdbc library.   I tried to apply a trick I learnt previously in this community: I set a line breakpoint on the line that the exception will be thrown, disabled the line break point, and made the exception break point dependent on the line break point.  However, every time I do this, the exception break point is disabled as well, as I can see by reopening the "view breakpoints" panel.

I am running idea-9732 on Fedora 10.  Has anybody got this working, or experieced the same problem?   I wonder if this is a known problem or it is something I did wrong.  Thanks!

Haven't tried that myself, but try to keep the line breakpoint enbabled and simply configure it so that the VM is not halted (rightclick breakpoint, see properties).
