Unable to recover files that were lost during move (992)

I just did a simple re factoring of moving a sub package and its classes to another sub package and in the due process I lost all my files… could not rollback from local cvs .. old versions are there in the cvs but still a weeks worth of work lost ..
Feeling like crying

Any tips to recover apart from ppl yelling at me .. you should have checked it in cvs

And it all happened because of a bug in 992
