I have an ant build script that compiles the sources in my modules and builds a WAR archive which is then deployed to Tomcat.
Every time I change something in the sources and want to debug my code in Tomcat, I have to call the build script, deploy the WAR archive and connect the remote debugger.
For the Eclipse IDE I have installed the Sysdeo Tomcat Plugin with a DevLoader that does not need a WAR archive. Instead it takes the compiled classes from my module folders.
When I modify a class the IDE compiles it instantly and after a tomcat restart I´m ready to debug. Is it possible to create a Tomca run configuration in IDEA 8.0.1 that does the same?
Thanks for your help!! I want to rid of Eclipse.
