Ant / IDEA 3.0.5 directory does not exist error

HELP -- I am attempting to set up Ant to do rmic builds for certain Java classes, and when I attempt to run rmic from IDEA, I get the error message that the output directory doesn't exist (and it does).

I am running in Mac OS X 10.2.8, and have Ant installed, as well as the javarmic.h tool that starts rmic -- it gets the same error.

I've tried opening up permissions to that directoy -- still get the error.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, as I need to be able to generate RMI Stubs for this code.

Did you verify that there are no typos in it? Just to make sure: Open
the ant file, copy the path to clipboard, open a console and enter
"ls ]]>". You should be able to access the directory
from IDEA if the directory listing shows up.

isn't the ant rmic-task enough for what you want to do?

how does your build.xml look like? Do other ant targets work?

Yes -- it does it just fine. the directory exists. >What does the build.xml file look like? RMIC compile script for IDEA >isn't the ant rmic-task enough for what you want to do? Yes, except I can't get it to work. The javarmic.xml tool works for a single file -- so I've attempted to create a task within Ant that would work for a single file - so as I compile a single class, it will also automatically create the RMI Stub class as well. Unlike my Ant build.xml file, which has the errors, I DID get the javarmic.xml tool to work -- here's what it looks like: ]]>

I would love to get Ant working with IDEA -- but it's been elusive so far... any suggestions would be appreciated.
