Personally I'm glad the "Create" item is gone. It was too cluttered. Why don't you think "Run" and "Debug" are good enough?

ME! I was just looking for that and wondering if I had not
remembered a feature being there correctly!

As a workaround, you can map to
"Other.run"

I've been using this "trick" for years, and I use it all the time, every
day, and every hour. I'm still surprised it's not mapped by default.

When in a normal class, it creates a temporary run configuration.
When in a test case, it's smart enough to create it for the current
class, or for just the current method, depending on the caret location.

I noticed it was gone, but I don't miss it. I hardly ever save a
configuration but when I want to I still can with the "Select Run/Debug
configuration" drop down menu. Decreasing the number of items in the
context menu I like.

I know this, but the problem is, that the application/test is started
before I can change it's configuration.

Is there an issue to vote for reactivation?
