Trick or Treat

No Halloween treat today? I was hoping we'd get #963 as a Halloween
treat but it looks like a trick instead. :)

Cheers,
Jon

HEheh. I was thinking the same thing. I can't wait for the next build since
957 crashes on me every 10 minutes of usage or so but they've already fixed
the bugs I am having so I'm excited :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Are you sure, that it is not a Mac OS X Java bug? There was a thread on
the mailing list about problems with Java on 10.3 and certain
configurations.

What does "java -version" say on your machine? Did you update your
installation or is it a clean install of the operating system?

You are correct. I reinstalled 10.3 and now idea 3.0.5 launches and appears to run fine. I'm downloading the latest EAP to check it out and I think it will probably work fine as well.

Let me guess: You installed 10.3 over an installation with JDK 1.4
update 1? There was a statement from apple on the java dev list that
they are currently researching this issue. Somebody also posted a fix
for that problem.

Let me know if somebody has trouble finding that post. I can probably
find it somewhere in my inbox if needed ;)
