Changing sides in CVS compare window

Is it just me or is the IntelliJ team always teasing us by switching the sides of the versions in the compare window (f.ex. compare with repository under CVS)?

There was an issue once where they moved the window around but forgot to move the label so the repository version was marked "current version" and vice versa.

Now, it seems to me that they have moved the current version to the left side and the repository version is on the right side...

First and foremost, please stop moving the windows around.

Secondly, I'd like to see this switched back so that the current version (the client version) is on the right side (now there's a contradiction... I'm asking you to break my first request).

This, of course, has much to do with the way we Europeans read things (from left to right)... so it's logical for us to have the "things to come" on the left side while the "things in the past" are on the right side. However, I could see some nations disagreeing with me on this one since they read in the other direction. So maybe the solution to this (as always) is: make it configurable!?

Kind regards, Stefan Freyr.

Woops, this should of course be the other way around... the "things to come" are logically on the right side while the past is on the left for us Europeans (and Americans... and more... but you get my point).

Kind regards, Stefan Freyr.

I second the motion!

It's pretty strange at the moment to delete code and see it shown as
Added - in the previous version ... er ...

Just checked it. The current version is on the RIGHT (that is, not left :))
side. Isn't it?

Not on mine. The repos version is on the right and the local on the
left. But as Robert pointed out, thats not as much of a problem as the
diffs being wrong - e.g. code removed locally is shown as code added to
the repos version and vice versa.

Maybe the build you're running has this fixed ;)
