You can use your normal licence key from the purchased version of IDEA. I run all EAP versions with my licence key originally bought for version 2.5.
You can't if you're using it to run version 3.0.5 on another machine!
You're right, that's a situation I didn't think of. I'm using also both versions in parallel sometimes, but on the same machine which causes no problem.
Just tried the key that is published - everything works fine for me.
