IntelliJ IDEA's online help also has a pretty good explanation. Plus there exists a flash demo: http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/training/demos/DSM.html
Finally as luck would have it, a Jetbrains IntelliJ IDEA Blog entry was posted about the Dependency Structure Matrix just today: http://blogs.jetbrains.com/idea/
I like the DSM very much, and I hope it will get some more features in the next version:-)
