Which project files can be shared?

With the new way that project files are split into ipr, iml, and iws, I'm not clear what each file does now.

Which files can I share with other developers through source control or other means? We have Project Libraries, webapplication settings, Content folders, etc.

IWS file contains your workspace settings such as window positions and sizes
and it does not really make sense to share.
IML file contains configuration of your module (directories, compiler
options, etc). You may have multiple modules in a single project, each of
them has its own IML file. These can be shared.
IPR file contains information about a particular project, which is a
collection of modules. You may have different IPR files containing
different combinations of the same modules, so it's up to you to decide if
you want to share it or not. Most likely you will have some IPR files
shared and some of your own.
