How do you extend the trial period? Not ready to buy 7.0 yet.

How do I make IDEA forget that it runs in trial mode? Is there a file I can delete to reset the 30 day period?

The reason I want to do this is because I am not ready buy an upgrade from 6 to 7 yet. IDEA is simply too dissapointing for me on OS X (10.5) and I would like to wait until 7.0.2 or maybe even 7.0.3 is out and then decide whether I want to buy an upgrade.

And how do you think JetBrains will pay their employees if everybody is
using a trial version for an unlimited time period?

I don't know about everybody so I can't comment on that. What I want is simply an extra month so that I can decide later whether I want to go forward with this. I don't think that is very unreasonable.

You should probably contact JetBrains' sales department to request an extended evaluation license. I
don't think you'll get an answer here about how to defeat the limitation of the evaluation period.

on another hand, if you feel 7.0 is not good enough for you, you should be fine running 6.0 :)

Well, I haven't decided yet. I really like 7.0, but I think I need to play at least a little while with the final 7.0.2 release before I make up my mind. Specially with all the little OS X fixes in that release.

I'll probably upgrade around christmas, nice geek present :)

Back in the past, I seem to recall that personal licences weren't typically available but did get offered for sale as Christmas (or was it New Year) and Easter 'presents'.
