I'm not sure it's linked to the heatwave that's crossing Europe,
but there is a "duplicates festival", happening right now, in your very
own bug tracker.
Check for any new bug mentioning "New Project", or "Can't save project".
There are many a day. It's almost funny.
Doesn't anybody care to check for duplicates before posting, these days,
or are you all just trying to break a record, without telling me?
Here are my 2 ways to check for duplicates :
(please share your ways of checking for dupes)
way 1 : simple & fast
In Mozilla newsgroup reader, there is a field to filter message based on
sender or subject. I use it all the time.
1/ filter on important key words
ex : "save project", "lost focus", "smart completion"
2/ sort by date, descending, and check subjects for dupes.
This works best when you bother to chose a good subject line.
way 2 : slower
1/ in the error stacktrace, pick a line that looks unique (close to the
top?), and descriptive.
2/ in the tracker web interface, click on "search" and paste the
stacktrace line you've just handpicked.
3/ sort by date, descending, and check subjects for dupes.
Thanks in advance
