Cool New Features

IDEA 7 seems to support a lot of cool new features which I never needed in
my daily work so far. I would recommend to add a couple of flash-movies to
www.jetbrains.com to show how to start cool applications with
Spring&Hibernate or Groovy/JRuby. Don't expect the user to know about these
technologies, just show what nice stuff you can do with it (otherwise you
would not have integrated them, haven't you?), so even a novice can get
something up and running. Thanks.

Have you seen the movies we already have at http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/training/demos.html
?

Oh, it seems that there are other people unhappy with the current state of the documentation (see also my other thread in the documentation section).

But, please, no more movies first! Update and get the ordinary help system and documentation in order, before you produce any new fancy movies. We need the basic indexed docs, which are accessible offline and ship with the product first. This silly new way of putting some "movies" in a blog or somewhere else in the web, is not the right way to do it.

The docs should be consistent, ship with the product, or be downloadable in one package, so that the user does not have to spend the effort to search for information, should he be stuck at a problem he can't solve.

Kind regards

Thomas

No, I did not know and will take a look at them.

Thanks,
