I don't know anything about builds but generics support is under development and I don't think full generics support will be available in nearest builds. But if you want you can use generics even with the next build (821) but don't be surprised if something will not work :).
Just being able to extend classes with generic parameters would be nice (it seems much of the rest is functional, or at least doesn't give me a red underline). Then I could use the early access generics compiler and its collect.jar, and that would be very neat.
