Quite often I find myself digging down through multiple levels of
using Go to definition. Then I want to go back up to the starting point
closing all the windows that I opened going down. Is there a way to do this?
Ctrl-F4, AltShiftLeft only reopens the window that I closed.
Perhaps I need a new navigation similar to Quick Definition but which opens
the definition in a true (but read-only) editor window in a popup where I
keep navigating deeper and deeper until I:
a) reach a final destination where I press ENTER which closes the popup
and opens the location in a proper editor, or
b) am done and want to go back to the starting point, so I press Escape
which closes the popup.
That's actually not a bad idea. Can I have this? Or should I start reading
on plugin development?
