HotSwap / Hot (Re-)Deployment (incl. Tomcat)

Hi guys,

When I debug a programme in Eclipse and change a line of code, save the file, the file gets reloaded automatically and the debugger jumps automatically to the first line of, say, the method, that contains the changed line.

In IDEA it seems I have to click on Run-> Reload Changed classes to get the same behaviour + IDEA then jumps to the beginning of the class. Is there any way around that?

Similarily, is hot re-deployment working for Tomcat? Especially, after having reloaded the changed classes (via the menu) it asks me if I should deploy the whole module again?

Thanks in advance!

There are a number of relevant options in Debugger / General, one of them
is "Reload classes after compilation".

Tried on a small code snippet, but did not manage to reproduce. Even if the method becomes obsolete, IDEA still highlights the
execution point rather than the beginning of the class.
