Problen Updating Jars

Our build process periodically generates a Jar file with an ant task. This build is
periodically performed outside of IDEA. After the jar is deleted and restored IDEA does not see the included classes until it is restarted. Any way to force a jar to be reloaded?

Maybe try the "Synchronize 'xxx.jar'" command. This is available in the context menu of the project panel when you've browsed
to the specific jar under the libraries node.

If that works you might also try the File (menu) | Synchronize option.

Hello lordjoe,

What IDEA version and build are you using?
In Selena (7.0) there is currently the issue: http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEADEV-15428.
Try double synchronization while it is not yet fixed.

I observe the same behaviour in 6.0.4. Haven't upgraded the machine at work yet to 6.0.5 (waiting for a new machine to be delivered there after a motherboard failure, rather hard to upgrade software on a disconnected harddisk ;) ).
