CVS Coolness

I was just working with the latest EAP build, and noticed all these different colors appearing in the left gutter...

I looked again, and realized -- they indicated the changes I had made... so we not only have the changes indicated by the colored tab at the top, but now within the file, by the colored bits on the left to indicate things have been changed, added or removed.

Really cool :).

IntelliJ really is the best.

A nice update would be to have a keyboard shortcut to find out what the bit of removed code was.

And then a keyboard shortcut to see if it was the right thing to do, and then a keyboard shortcut to make breakfast and coffee, and then a keyboard shortcut to do the rest of the code changes for the day, and then a keyboard shortcut to ...
ok so maybe the last couple aren't all that important ;)

you can make a keyboard shortcut to see the changes beetwen the latest cvs-version and you actually code version. you only must to add a keymap for MainMenu | Tools | Version Control | Show Difference with Repository.

A mouse over popup similiar to folded code might be neat.

A nice update would be to have a keyboard shortcut to find out what the

bit of removed code was.

It's planned. We also plan to provide navigation to the next/previous
change, ability to revert particular change and probably some others.

Something else that would be quite handy would be an integrated CVS annotate
view. I just checked the tracker and noticed that it's already been requested:

I've added some of my votes.

Cheers,
Vil.

Will you be adding the ability to revert a given change to the LVCS panel? There's a request in for it, but it never got much interest. Not everyone is a CVS user, after all.

Wow - I vaguely recall submitting that ages ago ;) And how naughty of me
to have not voted for it either - just have :)
