REQ: have merge ignore certain patterns

Hello Cory,

Some third party diff / merge tools let you tell it to ignore certain
patterns. This is nice for things like CVS expansion tags like
$Revsion, $Author, etc...

I'd like to request this feature to be added to IDEA's already
excellent merge tool.

Good idea. I assume you want to use RegExp patterns?
Did you file an RFE in JIRA (http://www.jetbrains.net/jira)?
