Feature Request/Feature Modification: Call Hierarchy

I just discovered the great feature "View - Call Hierarchy", but I was a
little disappointed in the availability of its functionality.

The feature is only available when the cursor is located on a method.

It would be great to modify this feature, or add a new one, which would
display the call hierarchy for the current method. I guess I had
assumed that the current method's scope would be selected by default,
but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Does anyone agree? If so I will file a tracker request.
