Looking back at the Demetra Roadmap concerning JSF support

Please forgive me if I'm way off track here.

Looking back at:

http://www.jetbrains.net/confluence/display/IDEADEV/Demetra+Roadmap?rootCommentId=18840

Under J2EE Features: JSF Support - it notes the following three items.

  • JSF Configuration Authoring Support (jsf-config editing aids, form-based config editing, navigation diagram editor)

  • Visual JSF/JSP/HTML Designer

  • JSF-Oriented CodeInsight Features

I just want to know if a Visual JSF/JSP/HTML Designer was in development?

I honestly don't believe I would use it, but it would be helpful when your supervisor comes up and asks "if you can have a few workable screens put together by tonight..."

Just wondering.

Thanks,

It was in development, but it was not included in 6.0 and will not be included
in the next release, version 6.5. As to what will happen with it later, we
can't say anything right now.

That sounds fine.

Like I said, it may be useful to others.

I much rather see performance issues (don't need to name them, because there are several threads that I have related issues too in terms of performance) and editor enhancements come down the pipe first.

Thanks,
