multiple debugger configuration?

Can someone explain the steps required to setup idea so two debugger
intstance can be run. I know is has something to do with using a a
different system directory. Do we need to copy the bin directory also?
Or just the lax file?

JetBrains, a simple step-by-step would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Barry:

There are 2 alternatives:

1. You define another project that uses the same sources as the original one. Then just open 2 projects and start debuggers in each.
2. If you want 2 IDEA instances to be run, then you have to be sure that they use separate "config" and "system" direcrtories. By
default IDEA stores these two directories in the ".IntelliJIdea" directory which is created in your user home directory. The
location of these directories is configured in "idea.system.path" and "idea.config.path" properties. The easiest way is to create
another IDEA installation and configure it to use another system and config directories.

Thanks Eugene. I did not know that you could just use two different
projects. That is much better than having to clone my config directory
(and make sure that they stay in sync).
