CVS & SSH

Hi All,

I get stuck when using CVS with SSH.
I selected Ext access method to the repository
I set CVS_RSH environment variable
Having invoked one of the CVS command I see following in the CVS console window:

C:\cvs\cvs.exe -d :ext:.......... checkout -P test
Password:

After that I do not see any way of how to proceed. IDEA does not react on my password typing and
simply wait for something. How to finish password input ? IDEA completely ignores all keys pressing
after it has raised "Password:".

Did I miss something, what's wrong ?
I will appreciate your help.

You can use an authentification key to gain
access to a SSH session, instead of a password.

But you need to generate a key on your client machine,
and register the generated private key on the server
machine.

Then you can use PuTTY as the SSH client,
And Pageant as the authentication agent
(it will automatically use the key you've created
to access the SSH host)

Info here:

Cheers, Daniel.

Unfortunately, I do not have such ability. It's SourceForge server

Of course you can. You can register your keys with sourceforge. Go to your profile, look under "SSH Keys" and then post your keys there. For more info, take a look here:
