Keyboard shortcuts not working...

I'm currently evaluating and I really like what I've seen so far. I just wanted to fire off a bunch of questions (mostly small quibbles) while I have my 30 days left...

I use the Emacs keymap and some of the keybindings don't work due to conflicts:
Shortcut key for Search?Find in emacs mode... (Ctrl + Alt + S) doesn’t work due to conflicts with the Open Settings window. I would suggest modifying the open settings shortcut to CtrlShftAlt+S (this is what I've done...) when emacs mode is on

Some shortcuts don't work even though there are no conflicts:
Shortcut keys CtrlAltLeft/Right (Back/Forward) don’t work.. I can reassign the shortcut to Alt-Left, Ctrl-Left, but not Ctrl-Alt-Left ... ??! I find this very puzzling... In fact, I've found that I cannot assign the key combination Ctrl-Alt-ArrowKey to any action... I can assign Ctrl-Alt- where ]]> is a letter, number, num locks and other keys.. can you look into this please?

What's baffling me is that I can get CtrlAltLeft/Right to work at
home... but not at my office computer. Could someone help me out?

It's probably an ATI-Driver/Tray Program that is consuming some short
cuts. Try to stop some unneeded processes.

Thanks for the speedy reply... It was Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver tray app. Disabling the hotkeys on the app solved the issue:
Right-click tray icon -> Graphics options-> Hot keys -> Disable
