JSP validation

Are there plans to bring the jsp validation up to par with the new include-aware jsp view? It's a bit annoying to enable validation and have a whole bunch of errors spat out, then when I open the file in the editor, it shows up all green!

Please, bring more details on errors you have encountered with validator

Hani,

Is your issue completely covered by
http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEADEV-5574 or do you mean there
are some errors, we do not highlight?

BTW, do you have any comments on the included files handling feature?

I think that'd cover it, given that it's probably not possible to have jasper be aware of includes. Though really, a nicer solution would be to have the validator use the exact same mechanism that the editor validation stuff uses, so there's never any inconsistency.

The include handling is wonderful though, so good job!

One issue with validation though that makes it unrealistic to leave it on all the time is that it always validates everything. It'd be much nicer if it were handled just like the rest of 'build project'; just validate files that are modified (along with their dependencies, etc, which you must already have a record of somewhere due to the include handling!)

Finally, for those pages that look broken and it's not possible to actually have them show up in green galore despite being valid, an exclude option would be good.

Can you provide a sample of those pages?

I'll keep an eye on any examples of this I might come across. I tried but so far have failed to find any (which I guess is a good thing for me as a user, bad thing for you as a developer hoping to fix a bug!)
