Help: Need PhoneGap Start To Finish Tutorial

Hello Community,

This is my first post here. I am coming from the development world in Android and decided to give PhoneGap a serious try. When I saw that JetBrains who produced my favorite tool Resharper had a solution for supported PhoneGap development I was excited. The reason is that I like the intellisnese they produce making thier IDE very powerful. Unfortunately, I see all these tutorial on setting up a project using command line but in this world most of that seems to be taking care of for you. Is there a tutorial out there that will show or demonstrate how to set up a PhoneGap project in PhpStorm/Webstorm from start to finish of building the project? It does not need to show me how to code but just how to create and deploy.

-Thanks in Advance!

Acutally, I spoke too soon. There is a gap in how to run the application in an emulator. I have been booking on how to do this in Mac OS but have not found anything using PHPStorm or WebStorm.  I was hoping something as easy as it is to add in the reqular eclipse version.

I am looking at this tutorial and it seems the android option for a new configuration is missing.

This is the article for the Intellij IDEA, there is no Android development for the PhpStorm. But the work of Cordova plugin is described correctly for PhpStorm as well.

"Command: emulate" in Run cofiguration?

UPD: as stated in the tutorial: If you're using the emulate command, an emulator will be automatically launched before application deployment.

By any chance do you know how to add the android and IOS emulator to the ide? That is my only hurdle right now. As soon as I can set up my ide I will write up an article how to do this from start to finish for Mac.

Thanks for replying.

command: emulate does not work. It does not see the android or ios emulator. I would think you need to tell the IDE where these emulators are located. That has been my experience with other IDE's such as xamarin, appcelerator, and phonegap using elipse.

I was confused on the create new project option for cordova in PhpStorm or WebStorm. It seems that I need to build a new project by command line and use multiple IDE's such as eclipse and PhpStorm/Webstorm.  This is okay with me because it gives me multiple ways to test my application. I installed the ripple emulator which will be my primary testing tool. I am very happy with this and just need to test in my IOS and Android emulators.

Thanks for all your help!!!
