JSF Support

Can you please let me know what kind of JSF support currently exists in IDEA? It would be nice, for example, to have a cool GUI to edit faces-config.xml.

What would be even better is drag-and-drop JSF support analogous to what ASP .NET developers enjoy in Visual Studio and Java developers enjoy in NetBeans and other tools. IDEA is an amazing toolin fact, the best Java tool IMHOso it surprises me that support for developing in a spec like JSF is so wanting.

Or maybe I am an idiot and just ignorant of the support. If so, please let me know.

Thanks.

Only minimal JSF support (completion and reference resolving in XML files)
exists in IntelliJ IDEA 5.1. Much more extensive JSF support is planned for
IDEA 6 (Demetra), and you can try it out by participating in the EAP program:
http://www.intellij.net/eap/

The visual JSF designer is still far from usable in the latest EAP build,
but the GUI for editing config files should be already there.

It is good to know that a visual JSF designer is on the way. I think that sort of thing is really the only advantage that the .NET developer space can claim over the Java developer space. And in the meantime, we can look forward to better JSF support in other areas. That is great news.

Thanks so much, Dmitry.

May I ask a question?

Is this JSF Editor based on your work with Fabrique?
