Ubuntu 14.04 and PHPStorm Development Setup

Hi,

I have just gone through the process of setting up a develipment envrioment on a virtual machine using Ubuntu 14.04. I have installed apache2 and mysql. I have created virtual hosts for my website so i can navigate to; local.mysite1.com and local.mysite2.com and it will load the index.php successfully.

What do i need to do now with PHPStorm to make it use these addresses instead of /localhost/ - Assuming what i have done is correct.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Set up a Deployment entry and mark it as Default for this project at "Settings | Deployment"

Thank i set that up Type = In place and i put the url address for it.

As i am new to this, is this the correct method for development?

If everything is local and files have no need to be moved anywhere (in other words: web server serves files from the project location) then yes -- I'm doing the same on my dev PC (Windows 7 + IIS 7.5)
