JSP 2.0 EL support - estimated date?

Hi,

This is question to Maxim (or other Jetbrainer):

I wonder, where can I start to test JSP 2.0 EL support.
In current build (3339) it seems to be not fully implemented or broken.

I got stacktraces when trying to autocomplete ${req|

I'm interested in testing it ASAP, as I know that JSP is the least beloved feature
and is always implemented at the very end of development.

Currently some IDEs or Eclipse plugins have good EL support and Idea support should
be atleast comparable, if not better.

Michal.

there's some movement in the last days concerning JSP2.0 et al, see http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEADEV-134 .. I also hope this does not get again "last feature implemented before shipping" so we can put some input/feedback on it fist..

+1... but they've been working on jsp/jspx/tagx etc... for a while now,
this is not new, and the whole eap, though marked by many improvements
in the java editing section, is based on j2ee changes and improvements
and I don't see how it can be last out.

JSP has only happened recently and it is far from complete. I think
.jspx support is much better.

i guess we can expect quite some improvements in the next version according to JIRA - EL and tag-file support should now be available in plain JSPs as well

gimme, gimme ;)
