The wiki is dying.

Guys - girls -,

The wiki site has become a useless info-blob.
Check the statistics:
http://www.intellij.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebStatistics
It's pathetic.

He called me, the other day:
"Help me, cure me, or put me down"

It lacks structure and readability. Some pages are too long, some trees
are too deep, a lot of info is obsolete, most of it is useless, and
nobody knows what's in there. I doesn't serve its mission anymore.

How can we improve the situation?

I'd love to see those twiki pages being moved into a public space on
jetbrains shiny Confluence install for a start...

You say "shiny", but I see "bloated", like JIRA.
Move the Wiki data into confluence, and it won't improve the situation a
bit.

We don't need more structure, nor more tools.
We need better data, better organization of this data, and better
presentation of this data.

JetBrains should invest/spend some time on it, to (re)quick-start it,
and regularly, to maintain it, or even enhance it (the Java Almanac way).

Tennis players sign autographs, because they know that they are nothing
without their fans.
Companies like JetBrains must "pamper" their user-community, for the
same reason.

Hi Alain,

Why tennis players not Hollywood stars? :)

But I'm agree: you, Alexey Efimov and other people too many times try to improve Wiki but no one interested in it and almost no success to return it to active live.

TIA,
Dmitry
