Are the new features in WebStorm 8.0 coming to PhpStorm?

I am wondering if the new support for AngularJS in WebStorm 8 will
be migrating to PhpStorm users as well?

I haven't seen any discussions about the release of PhpStorm 8 version.

The new AngularJS support in WebStorm looks very useful, and I'm doing a lot of Angular work these days.

Thanks,

Hi there,

PhpStorm v8 EAP already supports all features of WebStorm v8.0.

You just install any missing plugins (that are bundled with WebStorm by default) manually.

is 8 EAP stable enough for production use?

It's for you to decide ...plus it depends on what features you are using the most. But it's stable (enough) for me.

You can always wait for PhpStorm v8 final ... or just try EAP now (it can run in paralel to v7 . or whatever version you are using there)

Obviously, new features may not perform 100% (it's an EAP stage, at the end of the day), but this particular is in WebStorm v8 final .. so it should work just fine.

Thanks,

I got it working, and the autocomplete/ctrl+click features for Angular are working. Very nice!
