autocomplete for included scripts

I'm running webstorm 7.0.3 on mac 10.9.2. I have a javascript file where I imported angularjs via bower and added a script src="" to link to it. I am noticing my autocomplete is not working for many of the angular directives.

for example, in html, i would type

<form ng-sub and expect it to autocomplete to <form ng-submit .

I am noticing similar things in the javascript.

Is there a way to enable this?

Hi there,

For such autocomplete you would need to have AngularJS plugin to be installed. Do you have it?

In any case: v8 EAP has improved support for AngularJS -- try it.

thanks Andriy,

i have a purchased version of webstorm 7. is my upgrade to version 8 free? also, is there a link for the angular plugin you mentioned as well as one on installing webstorm plugins :) ?  i used bower from the command line to install.

also does that mean every time i use a third party library, i need to use the plug in in order to get autocomplete?

It depends on when you have purchased it. If the license will still be valid when v8 will be released (let's say in next 1-3 months or so -- pure estimate) -- then yes, you will be able to upgrade for v8 for free.

"Settings (Preferences on Mac) | Plugins | Browse repositories..."

No.

You do not need any plugins for actual JavaScript completion (e.g. jQuery code etc) .. but in your example you were attempting to complete angularjs-specific tags in HTML file which is a completely different story.
