Full deploy on every change (2140)

I noticed 2140 does a full redeploy of the app if you make any changes -
even if it's just altering some html.

Previous versions (that worked) would just restart the webapp if some
classes changed. This was usually what I wanted because it would mean that
I could change things without having having to wait for my entire webapp to
redeploy.

I'm wondering what other people think of this new behaviour?

Personally I'd like compile to just copy the changes over to the webapp and
another mechanism to force a restart of the webapp.

I was just going to file this, my bug was marked as fixed, but it's not.
Compile one class and the whole app just reloads.

Yes I am happy to be able to just run webapps again, and I'll also say that
debugging JSPs is now incredibly fast, no more of these weird delays,
breakpoints kick in right away. Some breakpoints don't get validated yet,
but I'm not so sure it's IDEA's fault in that case.

Some things that don't work (yea I filed bugs on this):

-Auto opening a browser is busted.

-If you make changes to your web app setup (run/debug setup) you have to
close and reopen the project to see the changes.

-Stopping Tomcat gets to the stopping point, but then nothing happens, you
just have to terminate.

There is more but not 100% sure yet.

I haven't filed anything for this so go ahead.

Don't use JSP's so I can't comment on that. I do get this wierd thing where
the first step you do in a breakpoint can take a long time.

I tend to alt-tab to an existing browser anyway.

-If you make changes to your web app setup (run/debug setup) you have to

Haven't noticed that one but it may explain some weird behaviour I was
having earlier.

-Stopping Tomcat gets to the stopping point, but then nothing happens, you

Yes. Sometimes the actual app seems to terminate (although not register as
having terminated) and sometimes I'll have to kill it using the task
manager.

There is more but not 100% sure yet.
