Ah that'll be why I didn't see it, I use firefox with the 'click to show flash' plugin... So maybe they need an explicit link for browsers without flash support (or dialup users...)

All that work on the front page graphic/animation to no avail! :)
I have a question regarding a IDEA 2.6 License. A pretty long time ago (Oct. 2002) my company bought the commercial licence for this version. A few days ago I bought a personal license of V4. The question now is: What can be done with the old V2.6 Version? Is there a way to sell it? As far as I understood from the licence agreement this should normally not be possible.
Am I right here and what are the possibilities in this case?
actually from what i heard in many countries it is illegal to sell software licenses under such conditions. under Polish law it is perfectly legal to sell the license anyways, and no company can enforce the no-reselling rule.
it is working wonders for the microsoft windows OEM license re-sale market here :)
I feel for you. The last time the personal license was offered (in January?), the upgrade price for my personal license (which was nearly two years old) was the exact same cost - $249. This seemed odd so I contacted Jet Brains and they pointed me to a deep link on their site that offered a $149 upgrade for personal licenses. Of course, perhaps it helps that I have also purchased several dozen IJ commercial licenses in the last three years. :)
I can't see that on the site... have you got a specific URL?
Cheers,
N.

Yes, the license doesn't allow selling.
Again,
actually from what i heard in many countries it is illegal to sell software licenses under such conditions.

Thanks for the reply,
this is what I received (and more or less expected) from IntelliJ Sales:
****************
In accordance with the License agreement for IntelliJ IDEA, you can not sell or otherwise transfer your license and the software.
You may upgrade your 2.6 license to v 4.0 for $ 299 if there is another user at your company requiring IntelliJ IDEA.
****************
not really helpful, but that is indeed what the license agreement says.
I feel for you. The last time the personal license was offered (in January?), the upgrade price for my personal license (which was nearly two years old) was the exact same cost - $249. Rock on Jet Brains.
