Dependencies on jsp includes

If I have a module with jsps that use jsp include files from another
module, is there any way I can use Dependencies to have IDEA recognize
the include file dependency? This legacy architecture has the 2nd module
with dependency designed to "layer" over the 1st module. Suggestions?

Thanks,
Jon

Haven't tried this Jon, but I think it will work...

Make the first module dependant on the second module, then in the Web
Resources add a web resource for the second module point to the same
location that the first module's JSPs point to.

That should do it.

SO...

Module 1 JSP - Has Web Resource with relative dir of /jsp
Module 1 JSP - Depends on Module 2 JSP
Module 2 JSP - Has Web Resource with relative dir of /jsp

Not sure it will work, there are still some limitations with
interdependancies of web modules.

Hi Robert,

Thanks - that worked with the caveat that I was forced to edit the
Module 1's IML file in order to get the web resource of Module 2 into 1
because you are not allowed to add a webroot outside of the module root
via the GUI. So, I'd like to file a request on this one... what do you
think is the appropriate request, or both?
1. WebModule Dependencies should include (or should have an option to
include?) the web resources of the depended on Module?
2. Be able to add a Web Resource Directory outside of the module root

The problem here is that you're not 'supposed' to have interdependant
web modules. This is a feature slated, and I think fixed, for 4.1. :)
The fact that it works is really a fluke... as I discovered myself
recently.

That said, I think that #2 is definitely appropriate, I think the
limitation is lame and unjustified.

I looked at the pertinent SCR's and I think everything should be covered
by the implementation promised for 4.1 - and I'll let um know during the
EAP if it is lacking.

Thanks,
Jon

The problem will be covered by SCR 24747 I hope.
